Official Season Start - August 24, 2026

THIS IS A GO!    So please plan ahead and use the form below letting me know what nights you can and can't make it.  TRANSPORTATION IS NOT PROVIDED.

Who: Varsity level teams, coach’s discretion who gets invited to play from your program

Where: Waterloo High School,  96 Stark Street Waterloo, NY 13165   45 minute drive

When: Wednesday Nights 5-9 pm  League Dates: July 8, 15, 22, 29    August 5th  

If a 10th grade player wants to be on a sub list, please fill out below as well (you do not pay)

9 am to 12 noon at the Middle School (Grades 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)

Since we do not have an available gym for the month of July, you may want to consider attending a camp.

Plan vacations/work schedules accordingly. Varsity will practice between 8 am and 12 noon

The district will be renovating the high school gymnasium this fall which means we will be practicing and playing our matches at the Middle School. Summer open volleyball location TBA.

Coach Smart

• Summer Volleyball - attend as many as possible (this helps us evaluate and prepare for the season and determine which tryout you will attend JV or Varsity). - some have had great attendance, others -- not so much)
• Season starts Monday, August 24th
• Players must attend all practices. Missing practice will affect your playing time.  BOTTOM LINE - If you miss any practice or any match, your playing time will be affected for upcoming matches.  We need ALL players at ALL practices and matches. (more to follow on this)
• JV players must stay for 1 varsity set (home and away matches) and are required to help with varsity warmups. 
• Varsity Players must be at JV Matches 30 minutes prior to their start time to help with JV warmups
• All Varsity Players ride bus home (no exceptions)
• Be prepared to spend about $60 on team shirts/gear.  Costs are subsidized based on participation with fundraising (i.e. fall fest cleanup, concession stand)
• All players will volunteer in stadium concession stand (dates TBA)
• Social Media - Keep it positive and remember it's a team sport.
• Players - Negative posts on social media/texts/snapchat, etc. will result in possible dismissal from team.

MANDATORY TEAM EVENTS - Fall Festival Cleanup, Pep Rally, Concession Stand Volunteering and any other team events that pop up during the season.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM DISTRICT'S CODE OF CONDUCT 

• All students must be in school by 8:00am to be eligible to participate (unless legal reason with note from doctor, dentist, or college official. That 8 am time may change -- waiting on official bell schedule.
• Academics must be in good standing.  Details in handbook.
• Late due to illness = not eligible on same day unless physician note.
