Upcoming Schedule

• Summer Volleyball - attend as many as possible (this helps us evaluate and prepare for the season and determine which tryout you will attend JV or Varsity). - some have had great attendance, others -- not so much)
• Season starts Monday, August 24th
• Players must attend all practices. Missing practice will affect your playing time.  BOTTOM LINE - If you miss any practice or any match for any reason, your playing time may be affected for upcoming matches.  We need ALL players at ALL practices and matches.  (updated 6.19.26). 
• JV players must stay for 1 varsity set (home and away matches) and are required to help with varsity warmups. 
• Varsity Players must be at JV Matches 30 minutes prior to their start time to help with JV warmups

TRANSPORTATION HOME FROM MATCHES - 

• All Varsity Players ride bus home (no exceptions)  Team/Coach Rule for 8 years now.
• NEW 9/6/26 all JV Players must ride the bus home from away matches. (no exceptions)
• The ride to a match, playing the match, and the ride home is a part of the experience of being on a team and being with your team whether you win or lose a match.

• Be prepared to spend about $60 on team shirts/gear.  Costs are subsidized based on participation with fundraising (i.e. fall fest cleanup, concession stand)
• All players will volunteer in stadium concession stand (dates TBA)
• Social Media - Keep it positive and remember it's a team sport.
• Players - Negative posts on social media/texts/snapchat, etc. will result in possible dismissal from team.

UNIFORMS - I have asked for sizes and numbers for players for the next 3 years.  I have tried to order based on choices and previous numbers worn.

Program rule regarding unforms for the last 8 seasons: If you had a number the previous year, you get first choice on that number for this year.   If two players want the same number and nobody had it last year, the player who has been on that level longer gets that number  The varsity coach has final say on number assignments.

MANDATORY TEAM EVENTS - Fall Festival Cleanup, Pep Rally, Concession Stand Volunteering and any other team events that pop up during the season.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM DISTRICT'S CODE OF CONDUCT 

• All students must be in school by 8:00am to be eligible to participate (unless legal reason with note from doctor, dentist, or college official. That 8 am time may change -- waiting on official bell schedule.
• Academics must be in good standing.  Details in handbook.
• Late due to illness = not eligible on same day unless physician note. 
• Gym class - you must be prepared or you cannot participate volleyball that day. 

PHILOSOPHY

Varsity Level -  Best team on court for each individual match -- not all opponents are the same. Playing time never a guarantee

JV - Everyone plays but not equal time and is subject to attendance.
